About the role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is recognised as a key management / leadership position within the department and is central to the provision of operational leadership and management to effect high quality, safe, meaningful resident centred care. The ANUM oversees the delivery of best practice, holistic care to the residents of Wimmera Nursing Home, providing direct and indirect care to the residents and acting in charge when the Nurse Unit Manager is not available.
Skills and experience
Essential:
Registered Nurse Division One with current AHPRA registration
A minimum of two years post-graduate Aged Care nursing experience
Organisational experience congruent with experience
Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills
Commitment to quality improvement and superior customer service
Proficiency in the use of information technology and aged care-related computer programs
Desirable:
Experience at a senior nurse level in aged care
Post graduate qualifications in gerontology nursing or willing to work towards

Selection Criteria
Essential : Do you hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please detail your registration number.
Essential : Have you received three doses of a COVID19 vaccine? If no, please provide further detail regarding doses received, booking dates and/or other relevant information.
Essential : The successful candidate must hold, or be prepared to undergo, a NDIS screening check. Please advise if you currently hold an NDIS screening check and provide your Worker Screening ID if applicable.
