About the client: State Government department who provides housing assistance to eligible Queenslanders. Our client is currently looking to appoint an AO3 Housing Officer for a temporary assignment until June 2024. About the role: Working collaboratively to respond to customers, undertake customer interviews, make referrals to support service agencies, assess new housing and bond loan applications and rental grants.
Managing tenancy arrangements, allocations and vacancies, liaising with the community and other housing providers and ensuring departmental compliance. Conducting home visits to properties and investigating and facilitating the resolution of any tenancy disputes and complaints as well as managing the maintenance of properties and conduction property inspections. Monitoring and managing outstanding arrears, rent assessments, pay deductions and refunds and actioning sundry debts and collections as required.
About you:You must hold a current “C” Class driver LicenseYou will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
You will have strong Customer Service skills, and comfortable working with customers both face to face and over the phone
You will have strong administration skills and intermediate to advanced IT skills
You will have strong time management skills and the ability to plan a busy workload
You will be flexible and willing to embrace new challenges and show resilience during times of change and uncertainty.
