AddressA compliance focussed approach is essential for this AO3 Property Inspector temporary assignment with a Queensland Government Department commencing asap.
This role will predominantly be responsible for conducting compliance inspections at properties (using an electronic checklist) across the Brisbane area. This includes attending the worksite at Buranda first thing to collect a vehicle before heading out for scheduled visits.
Duties include:
- Conducting property safety inspections and reporting on any maintenance issues to ensure compliance standards are met
- Maintaining accurate client and property records and file notes, including required checklist and documentation (using tablet/device)
- Engaging with property tenants professionally and referring any questions to the appropriate department
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to demonstrate a strong compliance focus, together with:
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills that focus on professional, ethical and culturally sensitive behaviour (with a proven client service focus)
- Proven ability to work well to a schedule and manage your time effectively (aligned experience, such as conducting property inspections, is preferred but not essential)
- An appropriate level of physical fitness to attend multiple scheduled inspections across the day
- Open C Class Queensland Drivers Licence
- Availability to be rostered between the hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
We anticipate an initial duration of one month for this casual temporary assignment, with potential to extend based on business needs. The casual hourly rate is $44.49 (includes a 25% casual loading in lieu of other entitlements such as paid leave and notice of termination from which casuals are excluded by the terms of your Award and the National Employment Standards).
Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, consent to a national criminal history check will be required prior to any offer of employment being made (and any record of disclosable court outcomes or pending charges will be considered based on relevance to the position being applied for).
