About QIMR Berghofer:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Mental Health and Neuroscience, and Population Health. The Records and Information Services is a small team that operates within the Information Technology and Facilities department. Responsible for the correct storage and management of the institutes corporate and scientific information along with the management of the institutes journal subscriptions. Responsibilities also include the provision of support, advice and assistance in the creation, registration and storage of information toe ensure QIMR's information assets are made accessible. e of information to ensure QIMR's information assets are made accessible.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for a Records and Information Services officer, who as part of the Records and Information Services team will assist in the delivery of best practice information services to QIMR staff and scientists. This includes the provision of support, advice and assistance in the creation, registration and storage of information to ensure QIMR's information assets are made accessible.
The following duties will apply:
- Maintaining the required structures within the Institutes physical and digital archival stores to provide appropriate user access and appropriate records storage, retention and disposal, in-line with QLD Government Records Governance Policy.
- Maintain the required structures within the EDRMS (TRIM) to provide appropriate user access and appropriate records storage, in-line with QLD Government Records Governance Policy.
- Provide timely responses to information and/or records requests from Institute staff or external persons and agencies.
- Provide regular communication in regards to new/changed records management policies and procedures.
About you:
You are required to have:
- Experience with an Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS).
- Experience working with physical records and archiving in line with Retention and Disposal Schedules.
- Proven strong communication and interpersonal
- High level of Microsoft Suite product skills; particularly with spreadsheet and database tools in data
- Experience analysing, or assisting in the analysis of, information and analytic
- Proven records management skills including documentation, metadata, classification, identification and document lifecycle.
- High level of accuracy and attention to
- Ability and motivation to work autonomously coupled with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team as
Remuneration: Salary range is $72,114 to $80,586 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time, permanent appointment.
