Hays are pleased to partner with a Government Department dedicated to connecting people, places, goods, and services safely, efficiently, and effectively across Queensland.
They currently require a high-performing and innovative AO4 Program Engagement Officer to join their small and close-knit team on a full-time temporary contract until 11 December 2026, based in Townsville. 
Your new role 
As the AO4 Program Engagement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Customer and Stakeholder Management (CSM) team within Northern Districts. The primary responsibility will be to address the shortfall of specialised resources required for community engagement and communication services across Northern Districts' active and upcoming projects.

Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Web Development: Update and maintain project web pages, including the project page, and provide analytic reports and updates as necessary.

Social Pinpoint: Develop and manage Social Pinpoint web pages to facilitate community engagement and feedback.

Communication Materials: Produce proactive communication materials such as media statements, flyers, construction updates, and newsletters.

Issue Resolution: Address low-level stakeholder issues and concerns promptly and effectively.

Correspondence Management: Manage correspondence tracker to ensure timely responses to stakeholder inquiries.

Data Management: Source stakeholder contact details and lot number information and enter them into spreadsheets and consultation manager.

What you'll need to succeed 
We are seeking an insightful individual, who welcomes challenges in the delivery of work and demonstrates persistence in working through obstacles. You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A strong administration background is a must, Computer savvy with confident experience using Outlook, MS word, Teams, MS Excel and be ability to pick up software/databases quickly.
