About the Team
The Marketing Communications Branch focuses on enhancing the organisation's reputation among key stakeholders, with a primary emphasis on participants. The team delivers strategic and impactful marketing, communication, and digital solutions, underpinned by thorough market research and insights. They aim to foster proactive engagement and drive behavior change through inclusive and accessible marketing communications.
About the Role
The APS5 Strategic Communications Officer is integral to the Marketing Communications Branch, responsible for organising workflow and making independent decisions within their area of responsibility. This role involves providing policy advice based on legislation and policies, with significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires effective communication and advisory skills to address moderately complex to complex inquiries.
- Assist in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating content, communication strategies, and products.
- Provide specialist advice and interpretation of communication processes, guidelines, and policies.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs, resolving issues, and achieving positive outcomes.
- Support scheduling, coordination, and publication of communication content.
- Undertake various general tasks as needed, including managing inbox enquiries, preparing reports on communication activities, and providing content for internal stakeholders.
About you

- Experience in developing communications strategies and plans.
- Strong networking skills to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement.
- Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
