QLD Government seeking a Compliance Manager for a temporary contract starting ASAP

Hays Recruitment are pleased to support the recruitment of a highly motivated professional Compliance Manager (AO6) to work within the Queensland Government, based in Cairns. This is an ongoing temporary position Monday – Friday for 3 months, with possibility of extension.
Your new role
As the Compliance Manager, you will manage the effective development, coordination and delivery of a professional compliance, management & maintenance system throughout the department in compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
To succeed in this role, you will have a high-level working knowledge of compliance principles, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders across all levels.Demonstrated experience in complex multi-disciplinary organisations, showcasing your ability to navigate and thrive in such environments. An understanding of building infrastructure maintenance concepts and legislation is highly desirable.
High level ability to identify, examine and critically interpret complex information to support monitoring and reporting against program outcomes
High level ability to use sophisticated written and verbal communication skills to prepare and present detailed and summary reports to a range of high-level stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to use SAP Plant Maintenance Module (or similar) and ability to use complex spreadsheet tools to analyse data sets.
Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to contribute effectively as a member of a high-performing team, meet competing deadlines, and deliver project outcomes within allocated timeframes.
Proven ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a small team, making sound decisions in the absence of decision-makers.
