The Role:
Our Group Manager – Transport Compliance will be based at depot in Acacia Ridge and reports directly to the Head of Safety Risk & Compliance.
You will lead the Compliance team and will be responsible for overseeing Lindsay Australia’s compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law obligations in a day-to-day operational context.
The Group Manager provides technical advice, coaches people leaders and will uplift organisational capability across Transport Safety related areas such as appropriate training support, risk management, investigations, and leadership.
Accountable for the development, deployment, and oversight of NHVAS framework, systems and policies for employees and contractors; you will also carry out monitoring and assurance activities as part of broader Safety Risk and Compliance assurance plan, including recommendations for improvements in ensuring a safety-focused culture.
About you:
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Established experience in a people leadership role with a highly motivated, enthusiastic & positive leadership style.
- Experience working with Leadership Teams (particularly heavy industry)
- Strong influencing and coaching experience at all levels of an organisation.
- Extensive exposure to or experience working within operations.
- Experience leading either National Heavy Vehicle regulation, health, safety or environment regulatory businesses across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies to ensure compliance, leverage synergies, minimise risk & drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent organisational skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail
- High level computer skills
- Availability to travel nationally.
