Leading Investment Management firm is seeking an experienced compliance professional to help shape and implement their enterprise-wide compliance policy and risk management strategies.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team you'll be responsible for developing and executing a robust compliance monitoring and testing program. This program ensures that their key compliance controls are designed effectively and operate efficiently.
In this role, you'll collaborate with various teams across the business to support their risk-based approach to compliance management. You'll be instrumental in helping them meet both mandatory legal and voluntary obligations, including those set out in their policies, contracts, and industry codes of conduct.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide Compliance Policy and supporting frameworks.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based compliance testing and surveillance program to ensure the effectiveness of key controls.
- Conduct compliance assessments, offer guidance, and provide training on identified compliance matters.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, risks, and recommendations.
- Provide proactive advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory controls' design and effectiveness.
- Foster collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence within the compliance domain.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of compliance experience in Financial Services business or consulting firm - Investment Management exposure at either preferred
- Ideally knowledge of international compliance regulations and standards.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing risk-based compliance programs.
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and conducting compliance audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and cultivate a robust compliance culture.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering customer-focused solutions.
- Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne locations considered.
