Brief Summary of role:
The Administration Coordinator is the front-line point of contact for the Venndale Residential Rehabilitation Service and assists in the provision of a culturally appropriate service to all visitors and clients. The Officer is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient, and high-quality operational and administrative systems that includes but is not limited to office administration, assisting the AOD manager to meet Work Health & Safety and compliance requirements, facility management including the coordination of repairs and maintenance, project management of facility upgrades, the maintenance and integrity of the data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high level administrative support to the AOD Program Manager, Senior Staff, and other employees of Venndale Residential Rehabilitation Service, hosting guests, meeting arrangements and meeting minute taking.
- Supervise clients who are undertaking ‘fine recovery’ by volunteer work at the facility.
- Support with daily operational issues including equipment management.
- Coordinating the ordering and receipt of supplies.
- Collating data and implement systems to ensure the effective management of information and data for the program, including client files, and the Client Journey register ensuring these are accessible and up to date.
- Liaise with and provide relevant information to supporting functions in Kalano Community Association and assist with collation and data for these functions to be effective.
- Support with Venndale Residential Rehabilitation Service compliance obligations.
- Responsible for overseeing repairs and maintenance register and coordinating the provision of R&M.
- Project manage facility upgrades and ‘special’ projects as directed by the AOD Program Manager.
Remuneration package:
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $72,000 - $83,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Entitlements/Benefits: 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 2 Weeks Sick Leave + 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave + 1 RDO per Month
Location: Venndale Rehabilitation Centre, 30km from Katherine
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day [Monday to Friday | 08:00am – 4:30pm]
The successful applicant should possess the following attributes, skills and competencies.
• Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent.
• Demonstrate an empathy with Aboriginal people, and an understanding and knowledge of local Aboriginal cultures, as well as current and complex issues.
• Competency with written and oral communication, including cross-cultural awareness.
• Functional understanding of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of EEO principles and practices.
• High standard of integrity and confidentiality, work ethics including honest communication with program manager and colleagues.
• Working knowledge of continuous quality improvement through attention to detail and finished work.
• Quick learner with good time-management skills.
• Working knowledge of Work, Health and Safety standards.
• Current NT Drivers Licence, National Police Check and Ochre Card.
