The South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) is the central financing authority, captive insurer and manager of the passenger and light commercial vehicle fleet operations for the Government of South Australia. It plays an integral role in the overall management of the State’s finances and risks, harnessing economies of scale and relevant expertise to provide a range of Treasury, Insurance and Fleet services to its clients.
Job Description:
The Application Support Specialist is responsible for the provision of specialist systems support, database administration services and continuous improvement initiatives for SAFA’s business applications, in particular treasury management, insurance and risk management and financial management systems and related reporting solutions.
The position will play a lead role in the collaboration between internal and external clients, service providers and the broader Systems and Business Improvement team to monitor, maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot system, database and reporting related matters.
The Application Support Specialist is accountable to the Manager, Systems and Business Improvement and the Chief Financial Officer, SAFA.
In addition, the position will:
- Work in consultation with the Senior Business Analyst, Systems and Business Improvement.
- Work in collaboration with the Systems and Business Improvement team.
- Liaise with executive, senior management and staff within SAFA.
Desirable Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in an ICT discipline or industry recognised certification.
Special conditions:
Some out of hours work may be required. Interstate travel may be required. The incumbent will be required to participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program. The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a General Probity Screening Check.
Remuneration:
ASO6 ($97,022 - $102,626 p.a.) or ASO7 ($106,512 - $115,137 p.a.) depending on the experience of the successful applicant.
