Our client is looking for an IT Application Support Analyst/IT Operation Engineer who will be responsible for investigating application issues and diagnosing the root causes whilst minimising service disruption.
You will manage incidents and service requests, whilst managing stakeholder expectations during triage. This is an operational role which responds to user inquiries, assess problems and issues and leads the resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement regular system upgrades to leverage the new features and upgrades of the Business Systems.
- Determine the root cause of issues, address the issues, and communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
- Configure network, memory and CPU alerts
- Support via phone/email/face to face to various end users support request from business stakeholders
- Respond to the issues and create tickets and escalate to next level support /high priority incidents team if required
- Resolve and diagnose a wide range of applications problems to avoid SLA breach
Key Skills Required:
- Ability to diagnose & address application issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage third party vendors regarding system improvements, issue resolution, project timelines and availability
- Any kind of experience in application development or software development is good to have
- Experience with use of monitoring tools like Splunk
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring key Service Level Objectives.
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
- Writing documented, reliable and maintainable code
- Analyse processes, workflows, systems or applications to identify opportunities for business improvement and make recommendations to senior leaders
