Form of workDuring the Mechanic Apprenticeship, you will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
You would be gaining experience in the workplace with one of our host employers. Duties may include but not limited to:
- Servicing and repairing mechanical parts for road transport vehicles such as trucks, buses and earthmoving equipment
- Repairing and servicing cooling systems and diesel fuel systems
- Repairing and servicing steering and suspension systems
- Discussing with clients to detect faults
- Any other tasks requested by the host employer
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Be eligible to complete an apprenticeship
- Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
- Be motivated with a positive attitude
- Drivers licence and own transport
