The Opportunity:
Mineral Resources Limited are currently seeking an Apprentice Master to assist with the coordination and management of Apprentices and Work Experience Students across our metro locations.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Learning and Development the Apprentice Master - Workshops will be responsible for the well-being and guidance of 1st and 2nd year Apprentices, as well as school-based work experience students. This role places a strong emphasis on providing pastoral care and support to assist young individuals in their transition into the workplace.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Support & Mentorship: Offer guidance to 1st and 2nd year Apprentices and work experience students, aiding their transition into the workforce within the resources industry.
- Leadership Guidance: Provide valuable insights and advice to leadership to ensure they have the support and skills to cater to apprentice needs effectively.
- Onboarding & Development: Conduct comprehensive onboarding sessions, ensuring newcomers are well-versed in workplace policies, safety measures, and performance expectations. Organise developmental workshops and forums to support holistic growth.
- Communication & Progress Tracking: Maintain transparent communication channels with apprentices, students, supervisor and relevant RTO's to monitor progress and well-being.
- Adaptability & Innovation: Stay updated on evolving best practices in VET Pathways and industry standards. Modify strategies to better align with the needs of apprentices in their work environment.
- Performance Monitoring: Keep accurate records of apprentices' advancement, training, and performance.
What you'll bring to the team
- Prior experience in providing pastoral care within the industry
- Strong understanding of Vocational Education and Training pathways
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A passion for seeing other's succeed
- Experience in supporting the training and development of employees to move them towards more effective ways of operating
- Demonstrated ability in evaluating, reporting, and consulting leadership on performance metrics.
