This exciting opportunity combines both hands-on experience and the completion of a nationally recognised trade qualification.
The successful applicant will work towards a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens with an accredited training provider. This full-time fixed-term four (4) year position is an initiative of Isaac Regional Council which supports long term learning and development, and career opportunities within the region. Isaac Regional Council is focused on your future development and will support you to reach the highest level of professionalism possible.
Whilst in the Apprentice position, you will be supported by a qualified mentor who is highly skilled and knowledgeable in this trade. Under their supervision, you will be required to assist with the maintenance and development of community usage areas including sportsgrounds, parks, open spaces/reserves, playgrounds and other council areas.
You will have an opportunity to travel throughout the Isaac region to perform these duties.
For this position we offer:
- Normally 76 hours per fortnight
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement;
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement.
