Apprentice Spray Painter

Alexander Body Works is Townsville’s one-stop shop for automotive spray-painting, panel beating, and mechanical repairs. The large, friendly team maintains a family atmosphere and take pride in their workmanship. The business has been known for quality and efficiency in Townsville for more than 30 years, and opened their huge new workshop in Garbutt five years ago. The new site is clean and well organised, and conveniently located just off Woolcock St.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Spray Painter to join the team at Alexander Bodyworks.

We are the industry leading business in supporting apprentices - we take pride on providing a high level of support and growing our tradespeople, you will learn the correct repair techniques and methods and receive the best training and a long-term career!

You will be supported by our skilled team and acquire the knowledge of an automotive workshop and begin learning the step-by-step process of prepping, mixing, refinishing of automotive spray painting. 

Permanent, Monday to Friday. 38 hours per week.

• Colour match vehicle
• Prep vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier’s process
• Prime vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier’s process
• Paint vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier’s process
• Buff and denib vehicle as per Job Sheet
• Upon request carry out minor/small repairs as per Job Sheet.
