As Business Services Officer, you will work in a dynamic environment with Work Health and Safety, Security, Facilities, Information Systems, and Governance specialists to provide Business Services that support the operation of the Joint Logistics Unit, North Queensland.You will be part of a small team to ensure that Business Services are delivered across the Unit. You will manage a budget and administrative services across the specialist team. You will respond and act upon to the needs of stakeholders. Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) is an enthusiastic and caring mix of military and civilian employees who are passionate about supporting soldiers, sailors and aviators across North Queensland. The team is comprised of people with a range of backgrounds, skillsets and experiences, all drawn together by the desire to support the work of the ADF.The unit is dedicated to delivering essential logistics services including warehousing, distribution, equipment maintenance and clothing store support to enable military operations. It does this from modern facilities on Lavarack Barracks in Townsville.Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland)’s span of responsibility stretches from Rockhampton in the South, to Thursday Island in the North. Joint Logistic Unit - North Queensland (JLU(NQ)) is seeking a motivated team member for the role of APS 5Business Services Officer as part of our Business Management Team. The Business Services Officer will work within a small team to assist with the day-to-day support tasks associated with providing Business and Governance functions for the Unit. This includes managing and reporting on the Unit's budget and overseeing information management. This position is also be responsible for direct support to JLU(NQ) stakeholders. There is a requirement to liaise with internal and external organisations to facilitate Business Services tasks. The Business Services Officer is expected to be self-motivated, able to work well unsupervised, whilst showing courage, initiative and sound decision-making skills.
