We have a variety of roles to fill across Program and Project support, and are looking for people with skills in contracting, commercial management, finance, governance and Program and/or project support. You may not have experience in all of the role duties below, but you should still apply if you have relevant experience.
APS 5 are accountable for their own workflow under limited direction. The role may include
- Managing a range of maintenance and minor work Project and Program activities
- Undertaking data quality assurance
- Assisting with risk assessment and management activities
- Managing scheduling, budget and resource
- Maintaining procurement and contract documentation and records and assisting in procurement processes
- Applying technical skills such as engineering, contract management and accounting to the management of projects and Programs.
- Ensuring work is achieved in line with policy obligations and appropriate legislation
- Managing budgets and financial pressures
- Engaging with stakeholders on delegations, funding, policies and commitments
- Analysing and interpreting financial data
- Governance activities such as compliance, performance, planning, and risk
- Managing business functions
- Supporting key governance functions

The Pacific Division (PACDIV) is an exciting new Division formed within the Strategy, Policy & Industry (SP&I) Group, consisting of four Branches:
- Pacific Maritime Branch provides program delivery and maritime security policy direction to deepen Defence’s engagement and collaboration with partners across the Pacific. This includes acquisition and sustainment of gifted Maritime Assets.
- Indo-Pacific Infrastructure Branch manages the development, delivery, maintenance and sustainment of facilities and infrastructure to partner nations in locations around the Indo-Pacific. The Branch is supported by various roles and functions including APS and ADF Engineers, Finance, Contract, Program and Project Management, and Business Management
- Pacific Regional & Governance Branch sets the regional policy direction on Defence’s international engagement in the Pacific.
- Pacific & Timor-Lets (PACTL) Branch provides policy advice and manages Australia’s Defence relationships with Timor-Lesté, Pacific Island Countries and Pacific Coast of Latin America countries.
