The National Operations Policy and Administrative Officer is part of a discrete team assisting the relevant National Operations Directors of the FCFCOA and will also work closely with the staff assisting the Chief Justice, Chief Executive Officer and Principal Registrar (CEO/PR) and the Deputy Principal Registrar of the FCFCOA.
The National Operations Directors are responsible for assisting the Chief Justice and the CEO/Principal Registrar in the management of the business and Administrative affairs of the FCFCOA. Together the Courts comprise 122 judges; hundreds of legal, social science and related support staff; registries and circuits across 43 locations; and are responsibility for around 100,000 filings per year.
The Policy and Administrative Officer would primarily assist the following National Operations Directors in Sydney: Director Finance Operations, Director Property Operations, and Director Legal and Integrity. The Policy and Administrative Officer provides high level administrative, Policy and operational support to the three National Operations Directors. This includes assisting with the planning and rollout of national capital projects, preparing budget and forecast planning and costings, preparing reports and analysis for various committees and working groups to support internal operations and projects.
The role will also include managing the day-to-day operations of the National Operations Directors, including handling the schedule and diary of the National Operations Directors, organising their meetings and travel, and preparing correspondence and reports. The Policy and Administrative Officer will also be required to liaise with a range of key staff and internal and external stakeholders.

The person appointed to this position will be someone who is excellent at prioritising work, anticipates what needs to be done and shows great initiative. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to excellence, will be highly motivated, well organised, efficient, able to work under pressure and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Some limited travel may be required.
