An excellent opportunity exists for a pharmacist to fill a newly created role as Complete Equipment Schedule (CES) Manager. You will use your pharmacy skills and experience to ensure medical and first aid kit CES for use within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) remain current, safe and effective.
You will be responsible for developing a program for regular CES review which will be actioned through the CES Configuration Control Board (CCB), where you will perform a key role as Secretary. You will provide specialist pharmacy advice on medicines and consumables for use within CES and contribute to the development of related policy and procedures.
You will develop strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders include Air Force, Navy and Army health representatives, subject matter experts and engineers to ensure CES meet unique ADF requirements. The position is required to work with reasonable independence and autonomy to track and progress CES review activities, liaise with stakeholders and respond to any CES related issue or concern.
About our Team
The CES Manager will work within the Directorate of Health Material, Logistics and Pharmacy (DHMLP) as part of Joint Health Command.
Joint Health Command is responsible for the delivery of best practice health care to ADF members and support to operations, with DHMLP playing a key role in determining the requirements for health material and ensuring standards are met.
The CES Manager will report to the Chair of the CES CCB and will work within a team of Defence members and civilians, including other pharmacists.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Complete Equipment Schedules and Defence (or similar) health material and logistics experience.
It is very important you are able to work independently with attention to detail, demonstrated high level planning, organisational and time management skills as you will need to manage and track all aspects of CES review to ensure governance over the process and timely action.
Engagement with stakeholders is an essential part of this position which requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish strong working relationships. You will need to provide clear and concise written information to stakeholders and draft policy and procedure documents so high level written communication levels are required. Experience with policy development and pharmacy governance will also be highly regarded.
