The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join the NDIA as an APS6 Pricing Engagement Support Officer, within the NDIA’s Economics and Pricing Branch.
One of the key tasks of the Economics and Pricing Branch is to regulate the commercial relationships between providers and participants. This includes implementing price regulations to ensure fair and reasonable pricing in the market.
The Pricing Engagement Support Officer at the APS6 level is responsible for carrying out complex tasks that are guided by legislation, policies, procedures.
The role is also responsible for coordinating and assisting in strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development that align with the objectives of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to create a world-leading program.

The Pricing Engagement Support Officer will frequently interact with the public on complex, difficult, or sensitive issues. They will need to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational capacity on behalf of the branch, division, or the NDIA itself.
  • Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for executive and ministerial meetings.
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings, including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and distributing follow-up actions.
  • Conducting research and analysis on various topics to support decision-making and policy development.
  • Collaborating with other teams and divisions to ensure effective communication and coordination of efforts.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant policies, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Participating in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

While this role is ideally performed from VIC Geelong, NSW Surry Hills remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
