About the role:
As part of a small, specialised team they are dedicated to implementing the Health Research Framework, shaping strategic health research priorities, and fostering a robust health research governance framework. Our work is vital in ensuring the success of health research initiatives that directly impact the departments capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review a variety of correspondence and papers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Prioritise governance activities and tasks to effectively meet business objectives.
- Foster collaborative relationships, provide feedback, and maintain effective communication channels.
- Represent the department at internal and external meetings, particularly where secretariat functions are required.
- Lead the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures in line with the departments governance standards.
- Analyse data to identify continuous improvement opportunities, resolve issues, and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Sound knowledge of health research, governance processes, and policy interpretation and development.
- Proficiency in complex research methodologies and the ability to translate outcomes into departments capability impacts.
- Experience in providing advice and assistance on complex governance matters to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships.
- Proven ability to work independently, exercise initiative and judgment, and manage workflows effectively.
- Previous experience in supervising and leading subordinate team members is advantageous.
