Job description
Applications are invited to fill a vacancy at the APS5 level within the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) Compliance Program. This position performs a range of activities designed to maximise, monitor and enforce compliance with the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019
The key duties of the position include
• Conducting a range of compliance monitoring activities including chemical introducer risk assessment and desktop auditing.
• Case-manage less-complex alleged offences against the IC Act under limited direction.
• Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures associated with AICIS's compliance monitoring activities.
• Coordinate data gathering activities; collate and evaluate results.
• Maintaining corporate databases.
• Provide general guidance to internal and external stakeholders in relation to industrial chemical regulation in Australia.
• Research, interpret and apply less complex legislation.
• Other duties as directed.
