The APS Level 5Procurement and Finance Officer works as part of a small team to support the commercial contract management and Procurement and Finance function within NCSR Operations and Commercials Section of the CHCC Division.
In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support for all aspects of procurement, contractor engagement and budget management activities. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with a customer-centric focus, excellent time management and organisational skills, and have a positive and flexible approach in terms of working with different people and changing priorities.
The key duties of the position include:Key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development and implementation of Procurement and contracting activities,
- Exercise judgment by operating under instructions and procedures under the support and general direction of a supervisor,
- Reconcile invoices, initiate investigation where necessary and interpret internal financial reports,
- Provide assistance with the development and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs), business processes, templates and other documentation, as required,
- Provide professional services to help the section meet best practice financial standards and high corporate governance requirements under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (2013) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

Remote working is possible and is negotiated with your manager on commencement. While most of our employees work 2-3 days in the office, our policy requires a minimum of one day a week in the office.
