Where you can add valueAs an APS4 Executive Assistant, you will be at the forefront of day-to-day operations, providing critical administrative, secretarial, and research services to help drive the success of the agency. This is your chance to showcase your exceptional organisational and communication skills while working alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry.
This opportunity will allow you to showcase your skills and experience by contributing to the following activities:
- Coordinating official meetings, travel arrangements and official functions on behalf of the branch, Branch Manager, and other Agency staff.
- Diary and email management, responding to changing priorities and timeframes.
- Undertaking research and investigations as requested
- Preparing documentation for committees and projects.
You will be highly motivated, possess strong communication and collaboration skills, and be able to provide advice on moderately complex matters to both internal and external stakeholders. While experience in an Executive Assistant role or the APS is desirable, it is not essential. Commitment to service and delivering quality work is crucial. Additionally, you must have a positive attitude towards people with disabilities, an understanding of disability's impact on participants, be able to manage confidential information, be adaptable to change, and uphold integrity and professionalism to align with our values and mission.

This role can only be performed from Deakin - ACT. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
A merit list will be established that may be used to fill similar vacancies over the coming 18 months from the date of advertisement.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
