Our 13 consulting GPs and team of Medical Specialists, Psychologists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals are committed to providing the highest quality of care while promoting health, wellbeing, and disease prevention to all patients.
About the Job
The Communications Officer will play an integral role in delivering timely and accurate communications across the organisation. Reporting to the management team and liaising closely with GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals, the successful candidate will create tailored messaging and eye-catching collateral that promotes information and drives engagement both internally and externally.
You will be a confident communicator who is eager to learn and grow within the communications field. In addition to strong writing and editing skills, you should be adept at building internal relationships and working collaboratively to support the needs of a fast-paced and dynamic organisation. Experience in the medical or healthcare sector is desirable, but not necessary.
As the Communications Officer, you will:
- Manage the company website (WordPress)
- Plan, create, and schedule content for Instagram and Facebook
- Write and edit features for external and internal newsletters
- Design signs, brochures, forms, and templates for both digital channels and print
- Lead innovative, targeted, and evidence-based communications campaigns by drawing on insights from analytics and best-practice communications strategy
- Provide communications advice to a diverse range of internal stakeholders
To be successful, you will have:
- A degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, marketing or public relations. Final year Communications students will be considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing and distributing diverse communications materials, including social media posts, newsletter features, staff profiles, blog posts, and reports, for diverse audiences
- An understanding of how to synthesise complex information and present it in readily understandable ways
- Working knowledge of Canva, Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, and WordPress (desirable)
- Exceptional organisation and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities to tight deadlines
- The ability to work independently and proactively respond to challenges
