About Us:
The Internal Communications Branch at this orgnaisation provides Strategic Communications advice to support the delivery of the scheme. Our Front Door and Corporate Publications team manages the delivery of key corporate documents and develops communication plans to support organisation initiatives.
About the Role:
The APS6 Strategic Communications Officer is a leadership position responsible for resolving issues and risks, providing detailed technical and policy support, and coordinating strategic planning and project management. This role involves significant public contact and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Champion plain English and ensure all materials are accessible and align with the org's style and branding guidelines.
- Serve as a trusted communications expert, aiding key internal stakeholders and business partners in achieving project objectives.
- Draft clear, concise, and effective messaging for different audiences, including talking points and speeches.
- Develop and deliver communication plans, progress approvals, and coordinate go-live collateral.
- Build and maintain important internal stakeholder relationships, addressing and resolving emerging challenges.
- Evaluate the impact of communications, identify future learnings, and assess whether project objectives have been met.
- Support team members with administration, technical, and procedural tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Strategic Communications and team leadership.
- Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to handle complex tasks and provide detailed policy and operational support.
- Knowledge of communication planning, risk analysis, and content creation for multiple channels.
