Join a team committed to making a positive impact in critical services working within a Federal Government Department. As a Compliance and Investigation Officer, your skills and contributions will be recognised and rewarded.
This 18-month contract with scope for extension, based in Brisbane’s CBD will see you working in a small team environment responsible for:
- Compliance monitoring and investigation activities
- Undertake regulatory compliance actions including evidence gathering
- Execute operational activities to disrupt fraud, utilizing your investigative skills to inform briefings recommending various outcomes.
- Build strong connections with government agencies and partners.
- Produce insightful briefing papers including recommendations.
- Implement and monitor the impact of regulatory action, ensuring effectiveness in preventing and disrupting activities.
- Engage across various functions, identifying opportunities to deploy strategies addressing compliance issues comprehensively.
- Contribute to capability building initiatives, sharing your expertise to enhance understanding and application of fraud prevention strategies.
- Play a role in planning and monitoring work processes for a small, dedicated team.
- Australian Citizenship
- Baseline Security Clearance
- Tertiary qualifications in law, criminology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in compliance or an investigations role
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team ethos
- Understanding of good administrative decision-making principles
