Employment: Labour Hire, full-time, 6 months with possibility of extension

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking energetic and talented people to fill positions that will assist with the implementation of the Innovation and Early Careers Skills Exchange Pilot (IECSEP), agreed under the Australia-United Kingdom FTA, and the Skills Development Exchange Pilot (SDE Pilot), agreed under the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
The opportunities are vital new measures to enhance Australia’s people-to-people links with strategic partners, in support of our broader trade and investment objectives. The role reports to the Manager – FTA Mobility Implementation Unit, within the Agency.

- You will have proven client service skills and be able to effectively manage a consistent workload, set priorities and achieve effective and timely outcomes against deadlines.
- You will be an effective team player and have demonstrated your ability to work with others to achieve outcomes. You will be able to provide advice and/or undertake research and analysis and contribute to planning and implementation of policies and objectives.
- You will have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, and adherence to APS and departmental values.
The key duties of the position include:
- Review applications lodged by UK and Indonesian citizens to participate in the IECSEP and the SDE Pilot, consistent with pilot governance frameworks and guidelines.
- Critically assess merit-based criteria for IECSEP
- Undertake probity checks as required for IECSEP and the SDE Pilot
- Update and maintain program documentation and systems as required.
- Liaise with applicants and businesses in Australia, the UK and Indonesia
- Liaise with counterparts in other Commonwealth agencies, and in the UK and Indonesian governments.
- Support the Manager, FTAMIU, in an active advocacy and stakeholder engagement program!
