- Responsible for the analysis, design, documentation and maintenance of data quality principles standards and operating procedures across IDM.
- Manage and own the evaluation of data quality procedures, system designs to maintain consistency with the data quality governance framework and design.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across various data governance projects and initiatives to ensure consistency and a clear line of sight of the controls delivered through data quality.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enable the implementation of standards and procedures supporting data profiling, data certification and data reconciliation solutions.
- Support the Data Governance Manager in tracking data quality initiatives and delivering the strategic solution for data quality.
- Responsible for the reporting and tracking the performance of data quality activities across the IDM to prioritize work and deliver on outcomes.
- Responsible for the investigation and presentation of data quality scoring, analysis and tracking to validate the performance of various data quality activities.
- Own and facilitate the adoption of an end-to-end solution design for data quality to identify opportunities to optimize, consolidate and improve the outcome for the Agency.
- Design and manage the introduction of a consistent reporting structure on data quality performance across Agency data quality activities.
- Identify and facilitate the introduction of innovative analytical practices or technology (e.g. Algorithms, AI/ML) to drive maturity to the data quality capability.
- Undertake research across industries, technology solutions, and the peer network to identify best in class components to evolve the Agency Data Quality function.
- Responsible for the identification, documentation, and implementation of reusable data quality patterns across platforms, data sets to meet user requirements
- Responsible for consolidating operational artefacts that capture data quality requirements, objectives, outcomes, processes, procedures, work instructions, and workflows.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to investigate data quality exceptions, document root cause analysis and ensure outcomes are delivered.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the technical design, delivery, or review of data quality initiatives across the Agency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to respond to service requests /queries relating to data quality processes across the Agency data management landscape.
- Support activities associated with the transition of data quality initiatives to BAU through impact assessments, training, post-implementation support
- Advocate and educate data stewards, data custodians and data consumers on their role and responsibilities in shaping the design of data quality and the part of the Data Governance Function
- Mentor, guide and train data stewards and other staff, ensuring understanding of compliance with data quality requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a finance or technology discipline
- A current Business Analysis certification is desirable, e.g. CBAP.
- Be a qualified data professional with demonstrated relevant experience
- Experience maintaining and managing a repository of business and technical data quality information.
- Demonstrated experience working with finance or investment data and
- Demonstrated experience designing experiments, testing hypotheses, and analyzing large data sets to optimize data quality outcomes
- Proven ability to think creatively and solve enterprise-wide operational and strategic problems, using qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Understanding of software lifecycle processes and experience working with various delivery approaches and ceremonies as part of agile or waterfall projects
- Experience using the Atlassian stack, particularly JIRA and Confluence, is desirable.
- Experience in data extraction, e.g. SQL; visualization technologies, e.g. Power BI, Tableau and Qlik and advanced analytics tools, e.g. R, Python
