Our client is a well-known State Government agency who are passionate about making NSW a better place to live, work and visit. An exciting opportunity now exists for an Earthmoving Plant Operator to join their dynamic team!The Role:
- The primary purpose of this role is to operates large/complex plant items to support the efficient construction and maintenance of road infrastructure.
- Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refueling and check the fluid maintenance records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items.
- Solve routine problems that arise, refer to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex issues to minimise risks and achieve work goals.
- Understand, maintain and apply knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work
- Assist as a Road Worker in Manual Handling Tasks that may arise
- Working away 90% of the time - Generous allowances and accommodation provided when camping away
- Casual assignment until 28th June 2024 – high possibility of extension
- Casual pay rate: $41.40 per hour + super
- Working hours: 9 day/76-hour fortnight

- Experience in civil construction, or Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification and a current Construction Industry White Card
- Traffic Controller Card – Implement Traffic Control Plan, or ability to gain within 3 months of employment
- Traffic Controller Card – Prepare Work Zone, or ability to gain within 3 months of employment
- MR driver's license or above
- Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed
- Plant operation experience essential: Loader, Rollers - Multi, Padfoot, Smooth Drum, Mixer (Grader operation experience highly regarded)
