The Opportunity
Embark on a rewarding journey as an APS5/6 Rehabilitation Case Manager with our client on a non-ongoing basis. This is a unique chance for an experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager/consultant to join a collaborative and inclusive team drawn from diverse backgrounds.
Managing a current caseload of 60+ cases, each Rehabilitation Case Manager oversees 25+ cases simultaneously. The role involves delivering rehabilitation and compensation functions, offering expert advice to employees and managers.
With a focus on career progression, our client seeks individuals with backgrounds in rehabilitation, physiotherapy, physical health, or related fields.
The Role
As the APS5/6 Rehabilitation Case Manager, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Contribute to the implementation and management of the organisation’s Rehabilitation Management System
- Provide timely compensation and rehabilitation services to employees per the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act
- Undertake case management of ill and injured employees, supporting managers in injury management and workplace issue resolution
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement return-to-work and rehabilitation programs
- Investigate claims for worker's compensation, liaise with the Pay and Conditions Unit for claims processing
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities, lead section projects, and contribute to improved case management platforms
- Actively manage the risk of worker's compensation premium escalation and provide recommendations for prevention interventions
The Ideal Person
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation legislative framework
- Exhibit experience in interpreting legislative frameworks within a work environment; case management experience is highly desirable
- Showcase strong stakeholder engagement skills, building effective partnerships and supporting implementation
- Display initiative and leadership within a small team delivering multiple activities, often within tight timeframes
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to evaluate complex information to make sound decisions
Salary / Rate
- $85k - $105k + 15.4% Super
