The Role:
APS5/6 - initial 6 month non-ongoing contract Secretariat, Governance and Administration officer role with potential to extend.
- The position will provide Secretariat, Governance and Administrative support
- The role includes organising meetings, and workshops and liaising with stakeholders, working under direction to prepare briefing papers and papers for other forums on agency matters.
- Assisting with stakeholder and meeting organisation, collating comments and preparing responses.
- Perform a range of administrative and governance tasks ranging from business as usual (BAU) to complex procedural, operational, and business support work in line with the Divisional and Departmental frameworks and processes.
- Assist in the establishment of divisional frameworks in line with existing departmental frameworks. This includes preparing advice on the correct approach and preparing papers seeking approval from the relevant Board.
- Assist with the coordination and writing of the Corporate Plan.
- Experience in Secretariat support, Governance and General Administration.
- Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills to organise, host meetings and workshops. Skills in synthesising meeting outcomes and extracting key findings is desired.
- Written communication skills to develop and review meeting papers, reports and communication materials.
- Secretariat skills including minute taking
- Experience in Governance will be highly regarded
