You’ll be joining an extra large Department, boasting several communications branches and delivering programs, payments and services for the wellbeing of all Australians.
The Role:
Our Department is seeking both an APS6 and EL1 to undertake Change Communications relating to a health related reform. You’ll be joining a reform branch with six sections of responsibility, and you will support policy areas with developing Change Communications for stakeholders.
This position may be offered in Canberra or Brisbane. This is not a remote working opportunity however a hybrid arrangement is available.
This is a 6 month initial contract with an extension option.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop written communications content, including stakeholder correspondence, factsheets, talking points and media releases, to support the implementation of the subject matter and the broader strengthening reform agenda.
- Support the development and implementation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage competing priorities while producing quality communications content within tight deadlines.
- Take responsibility for managing own performance and actively contribute to achieving the goals of the section.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role you must have either Government communications experience or communications experience in the private sector relating to the health sector.
Experience developing communications for policy areas or reform areas is highly desirable.
