Your new role
Looking for a s26 (permanent or secondment for 12 months) APS6 Procurement and Contracts Officer who can contribute to the strategic procurement planning for an upcoming period as a surge of large complex procurements is being managed by the agency. You will have the opportunity to learn and work with multiple subject-matter experts and demonstrate your ability to contract manage and project manage a small team.
What you'll need to succeed
- You must be a permanent APS6 Employee with the Australian Federal Government (or on a merit list at the APS6 level).
- NV1 Security Clearance highly desirable - Baseline as a minimum
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder experience, as the stakeholders are highly sensitive and demanding
- The scope of the work is broad, so the ability to time manage and pay attention to detail is needed.
- Good understanding of the procurement process within the Federal Government
- Skills in procurement, contract management, stakeholder engagement, project management and comms
- Assist with workshops and facilitation of education pieces
- Qualifications in Procurement and Contract Management are highly desirable
- s26 transfer at APS6 level (permanent or on secondment)
