This Government Department is working at the forefront of delivering a high level of policies and programs to the public contributing to the heritage, history, and experiences of Australians.
Currently, they have a need for a high performing APS6 Project Officer to join a team that focusses on community engagement to create a program of resources which align with reporting requirements and the Australian Curriculum, to share with teachers, students and the broader community resources and activities about the experiences of Australians.
Here, you will manage projects; research, write and produce content; contribute to the work of the team; work collaboratively with stakeholders; meet deadlines, embrace new technologies and work with limited direction.
Your new role
As the Project Officer, you will:
- Manage various one-off and ongoing projects, including mailouts;
- Research and draft a range of content suitable for a range of audiences;
- Manage competing priorities and projects with fixed deadlines
- Collaborate and engage with stakeholders to promote and improve the departments' offerings
- Ensure projects meet all financial and administrative regulations
- Oversee and contribute to the development of advice, briefings, papers, submissions and correspondence
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to respond to BAU requests for information and resources
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a high-performing individual with project coordination experience. As well as this, you will have the ability to:
- Support strategic direction – with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as needed and provide sound advice to your manager
- Achieve results – deliver high quality resources, often with tight deadlines, to a high standard and in compliance with departmental procedure and requirements
- Project Management – proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines with limited supervision
- Support productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Display personal drive and integrity
- Communicate with influence – including representing the team at both internal and external engagements and working with internal and external stakeholders.
You must be an Australian citizen to apply and, if found successful, undergo a National Police Check.
