This Federal Government Organisation is seeking multiple APS6 Compliance/Investigation Officers to join their regulatory Operations Team for a 6-month period with an opportunity to extend it.
Your new role
As a Compliance Officer, you will lead compliance approaches and investigations, conduct proactive monitoring and investigative activities including:
- Conduct proactive monitoring and investigative activities aligned with their regulations.
- Collaborate with government agencies and Taskforce partners to address quality and safeguarding risks.
- Implement monitoring of regulatory action impacts, including large-scale disruption activities.
- Engage across functions to identify opportunities for strategic improvements.
- Conduct interviews, prepare statements, collect evidence ensuring procedural fairness.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving.
- The ability to work collaboratively with legal officers and other advisers in compliance development.
- Experience in preparing complex reports, briefings, submissions promoting standards of independence & professionalism.
- Looking for experience in preparation of complex/sensitive content, research analysis, an ability to conduct interviews and prepare statements, handle evidence, maintain confidentiality
- Resilient candidates, as some information they deal with will be confronting
- Australian Citizenship is a must.
- You must have a Baseline Clearance, but may also be considered to obtain one for the right candidate.
- Government experience is highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
- 18-month initial contract with an option to extend for another 12 months.
- $59 - $70 per hour depending on your experience.
- Starting the end of February
- Located in Parramatta and Penrith Office.
- 50/50 WFH roster. (3 days in the office one week, 2 days the following week)
