Your new company
You will be joining a leading federal government agency that regulates the quality, safety and efficacy of medical devices in Australia. The agency is committed to protecting public health and safety, and ensuring access to innovative and effective medical devices.
Your new role
As a Senior Web and Communication Officer, you will be primarily responsible for the medical devices pages of the agency website. This includes; all written information and content lifecycle, and working with the Web Experience Section and Transformation Program to support user experience, analytics and continuous improvements to technical functionality. You will also prepare written content such as web page information, industry newsletters, blogs, social media, webinar scripts, and other content as requested. You will work with subject matter experts across the Medical Devices Branches to ensure written content is consistent, current and accurate. You will manage content projects, including keyword planning, content mapping, accessibility, content design and co-writing. You will build relationships with key business areas and provide advice on best practice web experience. You will develop and implement a forward work plan of external communications for the Medical Devices Program. You will use analytics and feedback to inform content improvements for the medical devices pages of the agency website. You will lead team process improvement projects. You will work with the Web Experience Section and Transformation Program to support continuous improvement of content and publishing processes to support the content lifecycle. You will contribute to the implementation of the agency and Office of Drug Control Website Redevelopment Projects, including content integration with the future transactional portal (under development). You will maintain a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for external communication activities.

You will also need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in managing content projects in an Australian Government setting, including keyword planning, content mapping, accessibility, content design and co-writing.
- Demonstrated experience tailoring content for specific stakeholder groups.
The following skills, qualifications and experience are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a regulatory environment.
