Job description

  • Hourly range of $32.15 to $33.80 per hour

About the role:

You will provide instruction and education in swimming, water safety and survival skills to participants in a variety of aquatic programs run at Banyule Leisure sites. The role will mainly be based at Ivanhoe, with occasional shifts in Heidelberg West.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR (essential)
  • Current AustSwim Qualifications (essential)
  • Experience working within a Learn to Swim Program (desirable)
  • A love of delivering high quality safe and effective Learn to Swim and Water Safety Programs to children and adults
  • Awareness of resuscitation, rescue techniques and facility emergency evacuation procedures
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation is required in dealings with all customers
  • Sound liaison skills are required in dealings with aquatic facility staff, Council staff and management
