About the role:
You will provide instruction and education in swimming, water safety and survival skills to participants in a variety of aquatic programs run at Banyule Leisure sites. The role will mainly be based at Ivanhoe, with occasional shifts in Heidelberg West.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR (essential)
- Current AustSwim Qualifications (essential)
- Experience working within a Learn to Swim Program (desirable)
- A love of delivering high quality safe and effective Learn to Swim and Water Safety Programs to children and adults
- Awareness of resuscitation, rescue techniques and facility emergency evacuation procedures
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation is required in dealings with all customers
- Sound liaison skills are required in dealings with aquatic facility staff, Council staff and management
