What we’re looking for

This position is responsible for ensuring strong financial sustainability, compliance, and growth of AEG’s centres within their designated area/s, through the provision of effective and professional leadership.

As an Area Manager you will have clear responsibilities under six key result areas – quality, compliance, occupancy, debt, rostering, and people development (6-point centre plan). If you are passionate about bringing out the best in your people, then this is the role for you!

The role

You will work extensively with Centre Managers offering coaching and assistance, aiming to achieve optimal business results and positive outcomes for all children. In this role, some of the duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide mentoring and guidance on the Early Years Framework to Centre Managers to ensure that all staff are developing and delivering relevant programs that cater to all children.
  • Lead, guide and coach a group of Centre Managers to provide assistance and motivation in reaching their objectives.
  • Consistently assess and analyse the centre/s performance to identify, drive and facilitate optimal performance results.
  • Making sure legislative requirements are being followed in accordance with the National Quality Framework.
  • Work in collaboration with the Quality Advisors to ensure all centres within your area meet or exceed the National Quality Standards and National Quality Framework as per the Quality Action Plan.

Qualifications & experience you’ll need to be considered

  • Experience in a Centre Manager or Leadership position within Affinity Education Group.
  • Proven track record in building and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
  • A current working with Children's Check.
  • Current NSW Driver’s License and the ability to travel between services.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team towards common goals.
  • Sound keyboard and computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to oversee the planning and implementation of work programs, maintain relevant records and control budgets.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail skills.
  • A `can do’ positive outlook with a strong team focus.
  • Openness to new ideas and a willingness to embrace change.

Permanent Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, based around Mudgee, Bathurst, Glenmore Park, Regentville, Claremont Meadows, Blaxland and Mount Riverview.
