About the Role
The Area Manager (AM) leads the local contributions of operational employees to delivery of business outcomes through high quality standard of care to our young people, internal and external stakeholder management and effective and professional operational leadership. The role delivers business aligned outcomes, strong financial sustainability, and growth of Safe Places business activities within the area. The role will include:
- Owns area stakeholder analysis and management.
- Manages local approval and process.
- Drives and communicates meaning.
- Drives operations.
- Develops talent.
- Manages accountability for outcomes.
- Drives local improvement efforts.
About You
Experience/Personal attributes we’re looking for:
- Leadership capability, supporting young people by leading local operations.
- Operational planning, transitional nature of the placement requires continued an iterative focus and heavy time commitment.
- Relevant qualification in at least Diploma level in Youth Work related field (e.g. Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Community Work, Child Protection etc).
- Relevant management qualification of at least a Cert IV in Marketing, Business Management or equivalent experience engaging in available company leadership, development training as required.
- Demonstrated, in-depth understanding of quality systems in residential youth service, gained through significant quality service experience.
- Experience within a managerial role, with experience as a manager in residential care service would be favourable.
- Hold a QLD blue card.
- Be willing for a us to do a LCS2 background check.
- Full Australian Driver's license for QLD.
