The PositionOur team of 60 highly dedicated and committed employees delivering the NDIS LAC Program within Logan and Redlands regions is seeking a driven and high motivated leader to be the new Area Manager!
The team provide exemplary customer service to a diverse community building the capacity of individuals and the community for a more inclusive community.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position strategically leads and drives the delivery of the LAC PITC program in your service area. You will work closely with regional, general managers and other Area Managers to ensure cohesive and consistent service delivery across all interconnecting aspects of Carers Queensland’s business activities.
The Area Manager will ensure the exceptional performance of this program, and that all NDIS contractual, quality, statutory and legislative requirements are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- The delivery of high volume, culturally safe, time sensitive service delivery to people with a disability and the community
- Develop strategic, collegial, and productive relationships within and external to Carers Queensland, to ensure the best outcomes for clients, the program and the organisation.
- Promote a positive workplace culture that ensures we live our organisational values.
- Lead, support and retain a diverse team of 60 employees through change, provide mentoring, guidance, performance management and appropriate training.
- Ensure teams achieve relevant performance indicators and targets whilst maintaining excellent standards of customer service.
- Model a service culture that promotes person centered approaches and outcomes, reflecting the rights of people with disability to exercise choice and control over all aspects of their lives.
- Monitor compliance with NDIS standards and NDIS Quality and Complaints Commission requirements.
- Provide training and support to staff regarding NDIS policies, quality assurance, and safeguarding practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on performance, quality and safeguarding matters to senior management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with service delivery, ensuring a safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Full-Time role Monday to Friday (8.30am - 5pm) with No on-call!
- Flexible work options 3 days onsite, up to 2 days' work from home each week.
- Attractive Remuneration Package of CSW8.1 - $120,751.23 per annum ($60.90 per hour) + 11% super + Accrued days off + transfer your long service leave via QLEAVE (if applicable).

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Social Work, Disability, Business, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the NDIS framework.
- In-depth knowledge of the NDIS ecosystem including quality and safeguarding requirements.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in leading change and building and maintaining a high performance, outcomes focused positive culture across a multisite workforce.
- Extensive team management experience leading medium to large complex disability (or related) service teams.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring performance, quality & compliance, development and implementation of policies, processes and systems that support high quality, person centred, flexible service delivery.
- A deep knowledge of human rights-based approaches in the disability sector and be committed to the natural authority of people with disabilities to make decisions about their lives.
- Experience in working in collaboration with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a person-centered approach to achieving outcomes.
- High level skills and relevant experience in resolving concerns and addressing feedback effectively and empathetically.
