Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart, founded in 1882, is a leading Catholic Independent Day and Boarding School located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The School is co-educational ELC-6, and girls only 7-12.
We are now inviting applications for a Permanent Part-time Art Techniciancommencing as soon as possible. Be part of the diverse and friendly team of teachers and support staff at our iconic harbourside campus, where you will be engaged to undertake a range of administrative tasks for our prestigious Visual Arts department (Years 7 - 12 setting)
The role:
- Part-time position. Hours and days are flexible (to equate to 0.6FTE)
- Work only during school term time (38 weeks a year)
- Administrative support to the Head of Visual Arts and staff
- Prepare materials for classes, as directed by teaching staff
- Maintain the organisation of classrooms and stockrooms
- Order and manage stock, material and equipment including reconciliation against the department budget
- Ensure all equipment is kept in working order and arrange repair or replacement as needed
- Undertake other duties as required
The ideal candidate:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role. Background in Art is desirable but not essential
- Practical understanding of/experience in classroom resource organisation and equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of/experience in ceramics, kiln operation, laser cutting, solarplate etching and darkroom photography
- Ability to perform/experience in administration tasks including ordering and stocktaking
- Demonstrated experience working with databases
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office suite
- Committed to the objectives, vision, and ethos of Sacred Heart Education
- Highly organized, and can prioritize with limited direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident in making suggestions for process improvement
