Junior Garment Technician/Quality Assurance (Mandarin speaking preferred)
The Junior Garment Technician/QA is a junior-mid level role within the Production Team who supports the Production Manager and Garment Technician to create techpacks, spec sheets updating until bulk production. Also responsible for efficient QC/QA of the Lioness product ensuring quick and precision of production maintaining quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Create detailed techpacks and garment spec sheets of Lioness styles and repeat shapes (new fabrications) adhering to agreed timelines. Following through attending fit meetings to update fit comments, communicate with factories on sampling throughout ensuring efficient bulk production.
- Support the Senior Garment technician and Designer on adhoc and admin items including but not limited to setting up techpacks, translation work, measuring and reporting.
- Responsible for on-site QC of Lioness bulk following QC procedures and policies – raising issues early and communicating with factories. Following procedure for improvements for repeats.
- Responsible for digital QC of all Lioness bulk reviewing all shipper images, factory QC reports following QC procedures and policites – raising issues early and communicating with factories. Following procedure for improvements for repeats.
- Responsible for support for the wider Production Team including but not limited to preparing for fit meetings, sample maintenance and checking off samples.
Other Responsibilities
- Adhoc Chinese translation work supporting the rest of the team with factory communication
- Communicate with Chinese factories on wechat and email working on samples and following through until production
- Communicate with factories and relaying issues back to internal and external teams - production/design/sales teams.
- Chasing factories on shipper samples images, physical samples or any PPS samples images
- QC Report monthly preparation and updating
- Attend weekly Production Meeting and provide insight and updates to own roles and responsibility areas
- Support the team with any Customer Service related Garment enquiries as directed by the Senior Garment Technician
- Attend cross team meetings and provide updates
You will Possess:
- Fashion Design tertiary education and atleast 1-2 years in a Junior Garment Technician position or patternmaking position
- Mandarin Chinese (written and speaking) is preferred but not essential
- Excel Experience required, Adobe Illustrator experience advantageous
- Strong analytical and solution focused skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail, within a fast paced environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, whilst being agile enough to adapt to changes in circumstances.
- Disciplined and able to work independently and work well with internal teams.
- Possess a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to contribute at team and management meetings.
- Ability to anticipate issues, ability to take initiative in problem-solving.
