About the Role:
The Consolidation Reporting Officer is responsible for supporting the design, testing and implementation of the financial consolidation system and tool that will be used for the reporting of financial information internally and to external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation of financial consolidation software, to enable effective consolidated financial data to be reported across the department.
- Ensure the financial consolidation system and tool will allow the department to meet its external reporting requirements, ensuring the system and tool is appropriately scoped and used for the preparation of financial statements.
- Communicate and engage with relevant stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the system and tool and to ensure divisional expectations are met for future use, including the Auditor General’s Department requirements.
- Undertake other related project work as required, to ensure broader support of financial consolidation for the department.
- Desirable an appropriate degree qualification in accountancy, business, or commerce.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO5 $84,522 - $94,003 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
