Asset Accountant

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Asset Accountant to join one of our government clients here in Wollongong on a 6 month contract.In this role you will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of the company's fixed assets in line with government compliance policies. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of the end of year financial records.Your Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation calculations.
• Conduct regular asset reconciliations.
• Collaborate with separate internal teams to ensure accuracy in asset information.
• Prepare end of month and end of financial year reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Proven experience in Asset Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting software's (Preferably Tech One).
