Package: $99,000 to $115,000 per annum, plus 11% superannuation, & 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance

My client a local council in Sydney are looking for an Asset Engineer to join their positive, flexible and supportive workplace culture. As an Asset Engineer you will play a vital role in the management and optimisation of their diverse portfolio of assets, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of the community now and into the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead in the strategic planning, maintenance, and renewal of council assets, including roads, bridges, buildings, and utilities.
- Conduct thorough inspections and condition assessments of assets to identify maintenance requirements and prioritise renewal works.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors to coordinate asset management activities effectively.
- Utilise asset management software and data analytics tools to track asset performance, monitor lifecycle costs, and inform decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices in asset management.
- Provide expert evidence in claims and legal proceedings relating to infrastructure projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in Asset Engineering or a similar role, preferably within the public sector or local government.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- NSW Driving License
