Located at their state-of-the-art processing plant in the Gippsland region of Victoria, an experienced Asset / Engineering Manager is required to further develop the site’s successful operations in Moe, VIC.
The Role
Ensuring high-quality maintenance across their facility, the Asset / Engineering Manager will play a pivotal, leadership role in the continuous development of asset and equipment maintenance standards. Reporting to the Site Plant Manager, this role will effectively lead the site maintenance team, whilst taking ownership of the development of preventative and breakdown maintenance programs.
With a strong focus on workplace health and safety, your duties will consist of, but not be limited to:
- Reducing down-time by commissioning an effective preventative maintenance program (currently utilising a pre-existing Business Central program).
- Playing a key role in the planning, development, approval, and execution of CAPEX projects
- Identifying areas of improvement/managing the implementation of associated developments across the site.
- Promoting a supportive team environment with a hands-on approach to leadership.
- Training/mentoring current and future team members across improved maintenance practices.
- Recording accurate records of all service, maintenance, and repair work performed on plant’s machinery/equipment.
- Effectively managing budgetary spend, ensuring a well-stocked inventory of critical spare parts and supplies.
About You
The successful applicant will have proven experience executing and maintaining system-developments, whilst providing a hands-on style of leadership. This role will ideally suit someone with exceptional management skills, and experience in food/beef production, and asset management. Whilst possessing a systems and procedure-focussed leadership style, it’s important to be adaptable throughout the ongoing development within the organisation.
To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:
- Great people management and communication skills with a collaborative approach to maintenance, problem-solving, root-cause analysis and risk minimisation, assessment, and control.
- Ability to envision the future growth of the company, ensuring continuous improvement measures are taken to accommodate future workforces.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or mechanical or electrical trade certification
- Experience using Business Central maintenance program (not essential).
- Training and Assessing certification (not essential)
