THE POSITION: Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Asset Officer (Driveway Crossing Approvals) to support the Asset Management Division in the City Assets.
The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate and administer driveway crossing applications and requests. It includes the undertaking site inspections for the assessment and determination of applications as well as providing the design of approved driveway crossings to Council’s specifications.
ESSENTIAL:
- Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and/or demonstrated experience in assessing and determining matters in an asset and infrastructure environment.
- Experience in the management of vehicular crossings including providing a determination, specifying levels and plans for customers in line with Council’s policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the Roads Act, Council’s powers and duties as a Roads Authority, and other agency and public utility legislation and procedures relating to access to road reserves and public lands.
- Experience and knowledge of construction and maintenance of Council’s infrastructure assets including technical specifications and standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices, legislation, and specifications associated with the assessment and determination of infrastructure.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- NSW Drivers Licence Class 1C (Motor Car)
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 4, with a commencing salary range of $72,841 p.a. with progression to $80,399 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $85,322 p.a.
