About The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Property Services, the Asset Officer will facilitate the delivery of maintenance across our portfolio in the Shoalhaven area.
The position is responsible for ensuring SCH properties achieve and maintain agreed property standards across the assigned portfolios. Whilst ensuring positive relationships are maintained with stakeholders and contractors.
The successful applicant will have experience in contracted property maintenance and be able to coordinate building trades to achieve timeliness and budget requirements.
Experience identifying and addressing areas of poor property care and tenant damage will be highly regarded. Good negotiation and diplomatic dispute resolution skills are critical for this role.
About the Key Accountabilities:
- Able to coordinate building trades on time and budget.
- Assessing and approving invoices.
- Demonstrated understanding of long-term property maintenance and programming.
- Demonstrated understanding of undertaking property inspections.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Good written communication skills.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated ability to produce quality outcomes in a high-volume, fast paced client work environment.
- Knowledge around contractor compliance and WH&S obligations
- Comprehensive understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act.
- Experience working with multiple trades and contractors.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Checking quality work completion, client satisfaction.
- Positive, productive attitude with a hard work ethic.
- Willingness to undertake reasonable travel to support regional offices and/or undertake professional development activities.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in maintenance delivery within the Social/Affordable Housing Sector
Essential Qualifications and Licensing:
- Current NSW Drivers licence
- Current Working with Children Check clearance
- Criminal record check providing suitable clearance to work with vulnerable members of the community (will be arranged by SCH)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications:
- Certificate/Diploma in Property Services / Community Services, or
- Trade Licence
- Real estate license, or
- Equivalent work experience.
